Etched Glass
Art can take many forms. We like to create our own glass art that
we sell, like a carved crystal bowl or a custom designed and etched
vase.
We also work with our clients to create a completely custom design for
their art pieces. For example, we can create a mountain scene and
etch it in glass. We can also take a photograph and convert it
into a design and etch it in glass. Another idea is we take a
design element form your home and create a custom etched piece of art.

One way we create “Custom” designs is to take
an image supplied by
the client, determinine the look
they want, then make changes
to it to create that
one of a kind piece. The client supplied a photograph of
what she
wanted. Carol drew this design freehand,
colaborated with the client,
and this is the end result.

This is one of our custom art pieces. This is a 12"
mouth blown crystal bowl that we carved a leaf
design Carol created. The leaves are deep
carved on the bottom of the bowl and the leaves
are cut by sandcarving. This is a limited edition piece
of etched glass
art.

This mirror was
custom designed and carved for
a client as a gift for a teacher retiring. The
design was carved in the back of the mirror.

This is a unique piece. We frosted the glass, then carve
the oak tree into the glass. After that, we "crystalized"
the carved tree, which gives it a richer look. It makes
the tree shimmer.

This is another
piece we created from a picture.
The design was etched and carved on the back of a
mirror. Notice the feathers appear to overlap each
other. This is known as multi-stage carving, which
is the most difficult technique to execute as a sand-
carver.

This was a really fun piece to do. This is actually a
5' x 5' privacy window installed in a Master Bath. We
first solid frosted the entire window. Then we Multi-
stage carved the flowers into the glass. The design was
created in collaboration between Carol and the client.

This piece we did for a soldier stationed in Iraq. We
cut the shape of Iraq our of a 14" x 14" 1/4" thick
piece of glass using the sandcarving technique. We
then etched the words and designs on the back of the
glass.
We give our soldiers a significant discount on any
pieces we do for them. Out of respect for them, we
will not list the price they paid.
This is a unique take on silhouettes. We can take your
photograph and create a silhouette, then etch everything
but the image. You can then frame the piece, putting
any color matt you like behind the glass.

it into a piece of art. Our client wanted an artistic
version of her sisters Florida home to give them as a
gift. Carol took the house and turned it into
a line drawing. She added palm trees that were stock
elements. This piece is etched, carved and shaded.
